Base technology applied in our investigations

  • Compact semiconductor laser, emitted a power picosecond pulses of light without any external optical elements
  • Original approach to generation a picosecond pulses of light
  • Record parameters of emitted pulses – duration <1 ps, power to 20 W, frequency to 100 GHz

    Background

    Different picosecond lasers with peak power to 30 W and duration to 800 fs, emitted light pulses in spectral interval 0,84 – 1,5 mkm was investigated in our laboratory at last 10-15 years. First of the world, optical ultrashot pulses were founded with frequency upper 100 GHs. These results are the record. Some physics principles of pulse generation were investigated.
